To all Children of the Revolution-
This site will be taken down for a while so that it can be properly done up, but unfortunately, with the GCSEs, prom, NYT courses etc. coming up, this site may not be up again until summer. Apologies to all, especially that guy who I gave this address to at the manga convention. The revolution marches on!

Welcome to the site of the British Manga Front (BMF), an organisation dedicated to bringing the phenomenon that is Japanese cartooning to the British Isles.
Manga, or anime, as it is called when produced for television or cinema, is a style of animation developed in Japan. You've probably seen it before in 'Pokemon' or 'Yu-Gi-Oh', and thought, 'Geez! The plot's exactly the same every episode- and they all look really weird!'
The anime that is aired in Britain is often aimed at a younger audience. A lot of manga/ anime deals with very adult issues, and can be a very emotional experience.
Check out the articles for more on manga and anime, and also the link to the Ottakars website, who were the first major bookstore in Britain to sell manga. Find out your nearest branch and check out some of the titles we recommend!
