Aaron Curry the Wake Forest LB becomes the first player drafted in the 2009 BBFL Rookie Draft, and will now look forward to mixing it up in the Dawg Pound in 2010.
We have now 97 of 100 picks selected and plenty of surprise selections.
All picks made are listed in the past rookie picks page above.
Its now time to sit back and relax as your picks play out the 2008 season.
The theory goes that you should not really evaulate a draft until 3 seasons have passed. Roll on Feb 2012.
cheers - Law.
Matt Cassel the QB was the #1 pick in the BBFL FA Draft and the final pick was Terrence Wheatley the CB (not the old RB).
I would also like to welcome Bill Sloan as the official BBFL Roster Co-ordinator. Bill will be responsible for checking roster compliance on all teams througout the offseason, regular season and playoffs. Bill's details can be found in the owners directory.
For the next few weeks it's a bit quiet but feel free to play some pre-season games before the schedule is added and before waiver wire week later in August.
Cheers - Lawrence (Commish)

I have today opened the debate on OLB/DE hybrid players that are becoming more and more of the norm in the NFL but are not necessarily being badged as dual position threats in the DK player ratings.
As for Season 4 - we are starting to gear up - with cuts due by Saturday 11 July (you need to be 45 or under). We will begin the FA Draft on Sat 18 July. Minnesota have my permission to make late cuts as Scott is in Europe at the moment.

One final note - I am on TWITTER - NFLFANINENGLAND . I had my first celebrity direct response today from none other that Adam Schefter !!!
The 3rd BBFL season is in the books, with the St Louis Rams regaining their title and the Phildaelphia Eagles falling at the final hurdle for the second consecutive season.
Can I personally thank everyone who has played in the BBFL in Season 3 - It has been a great pleasure working with you all and may I wish you a productive and fun offseason.
TRADING IS NOW OPEN - MARCH 9 2009
ROSTERS CAN NOW GO ABOVE 55 and 2008 Rookies are now LIVE on your team.
Relax - and enjoy the offseason - I predict some early trading once the new ratings are out (March 14 2009)
The Rams own the Bowl - will you have the team to beat them in 2009-10 - Gentlemen I look forward to you assembling teams to challenge their supremacy.
cheers
