Our average monthly expenses

Have you ever wondered how much it might cost to run a non profit rescue? Well, here it is,our average costs per month and year.

*The Cost per item is multiplied by the average amount of that item used in a one month period to conclude a monthly total.

Regularly used items:

Hay bales cost $8.00, we use 3 a week X four weeks= $96.00 per month

25 pound bags of Pelleted Food cost $4.38, we use approx 6 bags a weeks X four weeks= $105.12

Medical care-

On average we schedule 2 spay/neuters per month, which cost approx $150 each= $300

On average we schedule 5 physical exams per month, which cost $57 each= $285

On average we encounter 1 emergency visit per month, which costs approx $200= $200

Miscellaneous Item Costs-

Water bottle- $2.00 each, on average we purchase 8 water bottles per month= $16.00

Food dish- $1.50 each, on average we purchase 8 dishes per month= $12.00

Cage- $67 each, on average we purchase 1 cage per month= $67.00

Large X-Pen/Rabbit Run- $50 each, on average we purchase 1 X-pen per month= $50.00

Rainbow Run- $9.97 each,on average we purchase 1 Run per month= $9.97

Litter box- $4.00 each, on average we purchase 4 litter boxes per month= $16.00

Office material purchases= $20.00 per month

Total Expenses per month= $1,177.09

Total Expenses Per Year= $14,125.08

Believe it or not,Our Yearly Total Expense is fairly less than that of other groups, due to the fact that we have no paid staff. Running a group is a costly endeavour requireing much fore sight and planning.

Medical Expense Donation

Stretch the "Plymouth Rescue bun" has required medical care. He had abcesses along his jaw and around his eyes,which needed to be treated by the veterinarian. We are graciously accepting any donations towards his veterinary care.To learn more about Stretch visit our Rescue Work page.
