A camp, hunting or fishing, can be as small as 2 guys in a tent or as big as a dozen or more at a BIG cabin. The size of the camp doesn't really matter. What does matter is the friendships that are forged and kept each and every year. There is something special about the time you spend in camp, something almost magical. Maybe it's the time of year, or maybe it's the company. I tend to believe it's both.
I was lucky enough to spend over 20 years hunting with a great group of guys and I can not think of a single place I would rather have been, than with this group. It didn't matter if the hunt was successful or not. What mattered was just the fun we had and the memories we made. I can still tell you almost every meal we had there. That was the reason I put together Bringing the Outdoors In.
Our camp is now part of the Jefferson National Forest, so all I have left are memories and photographs. I hope that everyone has a chance to hunt and just hang out with people that are as good as I was blessed with.
