UPDATE - SEPT 2009
Conchita has been with us for over 2 years now and is thriving. She must still be a Cuban dog at heart as on cold rainy days she prefers to sleep in, and not go for walks in the rain. Then, by 10.00 pm she is ready to party, play with Oscar the dog and have fun -- (Salsa anyone??).
Check out her photos..........
I encourage you to bring a dog home with you -
Animals have no passports! Caring for animals is beyond all the
nonsense created by governments. We can make a huge difference, if you
choose to become involved!
Welcome to my "Bring Conchita Home" What started out as an idea... has become a reality in the course of a month.
I
have succeeded in working at extra jobs, doing some music gigs and collecting donations to go
back to Santiago Cuba to Bring Conchita to Canada in May.
Read the entire story and see photos. I have created the website to assist Conchita and other street dogs.
In
late May Conchita will be on a plane coming to Canada and her foster
family will be receiving another street dog to assist them financially.
This is dignifying for the family and will ease their financial burden.
As in many poor countries, dogs, cats and other animals suffer terribly. There just isn't sufficient food to go around.
When Conchita comes home I will try to help the plight of animals. Please see my links to learn more.
