JAILBREAKING IPOD TOUCH/IPOHONE

Step 1: Downgrade to 1.1.1 (if required)

1. Download the iPod touch 1.1.1 ipsw firmware file from Apple. Do this in Firefox .

2. Connect your iPod touch to your PC or Mac.

3. Put your iPod touch into restore mode by holding down the power and home keys. Release the power button after the screen goes blank but hold the Home key until iTunes recognises your iPod in restore mode. Now press and hold the Shift key on Windows or the Option key on Mac (In iTunes), then click Restore in iTunes. It will open up the File dialog. Now you can select the 1.1.1 firmware file you downloaded earlier.

4. When iTunes asks if you want to A) Set the iPod up as a new iPod. or B) Restore from a Backup. : Choose A.

Step 2: Jailbreaking 1.1.1

1. Launch Safari on your iPod Touch.

2. Visit http://jailbreakme.com, Scroll down to the bottom, click "Install AppSnapp". Safari will exit and you'll return to your springboard. Slide to unlock, you are now jailbroken and are able to use Installer.app.

Imagic trick

There are a couple magic tricks also know as "imagic tricks". I thought they looked pretty cool so I looked into getting them. And of course they cost money. But of course I found them for FREE! And so did you. The download links are below. One problem... they do not use the accelorameter technology... they are just videos... I was dissapointed when I found that out. But they are beta testing actual ones with the accelorameter.

How to make a custom ipod touch/ipone slider

Google any image you want

1. Resize it to 68 X 46 PNG.
2. Using WinSCP, CuteFTP or Total Commander go to /private/var/root/Library/Customize/MainSliderImages
3. Make a new folder such as "My Sliders" and place your slider in that folder
4. On your iTouch access Customize and scroll down to Main Slider
5. Select your desired slider and press the 'Home' button
6. It will crash and then you will see your new slider
