***Run Lover Run***
One of the early collaboration between Brigitte and Alan Tang Kwong Wing – Brigitte plays a tomboyish gal who is very athletic, active, and loves outdoor sports, as opposed to the traditional gentle demureness, stay-at-home attributes that were often typically expected of girls of that time period. This, inevitably, got Brigitte’s over-worried mom to be on her toes, as she feared her 21-year-old daughter will not be able to find a husband. Conspiring with her son behind Brigitte’s back, the mother then attempted to be a matchmaker for Brigitte and Alan, one of Brigitte’s high school friends who has just come back from his abroad study trip.
Alan, a university graduate with a degree in Nuclear Physics, did not give Brigitte a very good first impression as a “tough” guy (remember that Brigitte is very tomboyish in here). The two of them started off quite badly, but to please the parents from both sides, they still pretended to go out together for a while (where he realized what a precious gem she actually is and fell for her… for real). But the carefree Brigitte didn’t seem to notice this at first, and she even ended up matchmaking Alan to another gal (who happened to be her brother’s girlfriend too!).
In the end, when Alan and Brigitte finally fell under the spell of love, they decided to change themselves for each other… only to find that true love is all about loving and accepting the other for who they are. A happy ending for the two love birds, and the happy Alan also got the joy of having a romantic lips kiss with pretty Brigitte! :)
Brigitte is sooooooo adorable in here! Who would have thought she is actually quite good at shooting basketball hoop! In "Run Lover Run", fans will get to see her do all sorts of sport activities – arm wrestling, swimming, mountain climbing, playing baseball, basketball, running hurdles… just to name a few. =) A particular scene you ought not to miss is the one when the mother was trying to advertise *daughter-in-law* Brigitte to Alan’s parents. "Oh, my daughter is so sweet, gentle and graceful, and she is now studying hard at the library!" The woman said. A couple seconds later, Brigitte entered the scene from one of her mountain climbing trip, covered in dirt with a dead bird in her hand! Talk about a shocking look on her future parents-in-law’s faces! ^.^
