Hello everyone, jdm24scale is dedicated to my hobby; that of assembling 1/24 scale Japanese model cars. Since I was a young boy I used to buy 1/24 scale diecast cars and take them apart right after so that I could add small details to make them unique. As I grew older, my passion moved to the larger 1/18 scale where I started to completely modify these, making them as different as possible. Modifications that time included scratch-built body kits, new spray, interior modifications, different wheels and engine detailing. As time passed by, in real life I was getting more interested in Japanese cars and finally at the beginning of 2008 I decided to turn my model car attention to these cars coming from the East! With this I decided to do an even bigger change too: going from 1/18 scale diecast to 1/24 scale plastic model kits.
This website also features a Reviews section, where I post my own opinions and pictures about kits or accessories I buy for my builds. These are intended to help other modellers get to know exactly what a certain product contents are. Another section is dedicated to Tutorials, where I post detailed descriptions about the procedures I follow while building my kits.
While hoping you'll enjoy your visit at jdm24scale.com, please feel free to sign my guestbook with comments and/or suggestions on my work and about the site, thus helping me to improve both my modelling skills and the website itself.

06 June 2018 - New Project on the bench!
The FD2 project is proving to be a bigger headache than I thought it'd be. I've been sanding and re-sanding resin for the past 3 weeks and now I discovered that it needs further sanding from inside to fit the windows right. So I decided that I need a break from it and work on some plastic instead.
The little Copen kit was smiling from inside the cabinet, so that'll be my resin cool-down project! Time for my first cabrio and Kei car!
23 May 2018 - FD2 update
Another FD2 update! After more than 2 weeks of sanding, correcting, filling and re-sanding, I was able to apply the first layer of primer to the body! Very happy with what I saw as there are only some minor defects that needs further correction. Time to move on with this nightmare build!
