Breda Girl Scouts

The Breda Girl Scouts formed in September 2004.

We are a 6th year mixed age group for 2009/2010

Because the girl has a need, We have an obligation.
Because the girl has a choice, We must be her better choice.
Because the girl has high expectations, We must excel.

Because the girl wants to explore, We must be her guide.
Because the girl wants to belong, We must open our arms.
Because the girl is searching for direction, We must be her compass

Because the girl encounters times of turmoil, We must be her safe haven.
Because the girl is tomorrow's woman, We must care today.
Because of the girl… We exist.

We meet once a month for 3 hours. The girls have been very busy this year and learning new things about Girl Scouts. We all know our Girl Scout Promise and Law.

 Ft. Dodge Girl Fest   Visit to the Fire Station   Halloween Party   Bowling Fun  Rededication & Investure Ceremony   Thanksgiving Food Drive   Bought gifts for 2 "Angels" at Christmas   Christmas party   Selling cookies to send to overseas military   Made Valentine Roses and delivered to residents of Breda   Attended Thinking Day in Storm Lake   Presented the Future Girl Scout Bib in Carroll during Girl Scout Week   Attended Girl Scout Week in Carroll at United Methodist and then went to Pizza Hut for Lunch!   Bridging Ceremony for Brownies on April 15th  followed by another Lock-In! Fun!   April 30th - Went to Dayton Iowa for Day Camp for Early Registration  Camping At Grant Park  Adventureland  Mini-Golf  School Supply Collection for the needy

Some of the highlights of 2005-2006 year:

 Started new Daisy Troop   Raised $400 to send to Hurricane Katrina Victims  Band Day in Carroll  Luau in Carroll  Girl Fest in Ft. Dodge  Planned and worked the Fall Festival for children of Breda  Beauty and the Beast in Ft.
