Racers must be prepared to race is weather ranging from hot and humid to cold and rainy. Each must have food and hydration sufficient for 24 hours of racing. A ropes course is pending and if becomes reality more gear will be added to the required list.
Gear to be carried at all times during the race:

Emergency Blanket
Long pants (or tights)
Long sleeve shirt

Compass
Cell Phone
Lighter or Waterproof matches
First Aid kit
Solo racers only- emergency flare(see racer update #1)
Paddling (to be carried during all paddling sections)
Per person:
Life Jacket (Coast Guard type III or better) Provided or bring your own.

Canoe/Kayak Note: Canoe's will provided for teams. Solo racers are responsible for their own kayak's.
Canoe or Kayak paddles. Canoe paddles provided or bring your own.
Mountain Biking (to be carried during all mountain biking sections)
Per person:
Approved mountain bike
Certified bike helmet
Front light
Rear blinking red light
Team Gear:
Spare tube
Repair tool
Recommended gear:
Rain Jacket
Change of socks
Headlamp or flashlight
Bike gloves
Nutrition supplements
Gear Checks may be performed at any time during the race and penalties will be assesed for missing or damaged gear.
