Endurance Sports is excited to announce the 2nd annual BreakOut 24 Adventure Race.  The unique format of the race allows racers to choose the length of their course, from as short as 8 hours to the full 24.  How?  We did this by making all CP's optional.  The idea is to make a race that is fun and challenging for all.   Can you clear the course and be the first team back with the most CP's?  You'll have to show up to see.

This is an unsupported race that will time out at 24hours.  We will operate out of a central HQ area and racers will return here before embarking on each stage.   No support crew is required. However, if you are training for a race that requires one, you are welcome to bring them and put them to work.  Solo racers will be responsible for providing their own kayak's but we will transport them for you during the race.  This is a change- solo racers no longer need a support crew to transport their kayak's.  However if you use your own kayak and have race staff transport it, we will not be held responsible for any damages.  Of course we will treat all gear as if it were our own, but accidents happen.

Disciplines:

Biking: The course will consist of paved road, dirt roads and single track biking. There will be multiple biking sections during both day and night. To obtain all optional points plan on riding up to 70 miles.

Canoeing/Kayaking: Paddling will take place in both rivers and lakes. All canoe's will be provided.  Solo racers will be responsible for their own kayaks. Depending on route choice, paddling maybe performed at night. Expect to paddle up to 30+ miles for all optional points.

Trekking: Route choices for trekking will be limited and distances will start at 4 miles and work their way up.

Orienteering: Racers will be responsible for orienteering throughout the course.  There will be sections with unmanned orienteering flags where navigation  skills will be required.  Some points will be given as UTM's.

There will be a post race party with food and drink and special prizes to be given out.  All will walk away with a great race experience and sense of accomplishment for being able to push yourself for 24hrs. straight!
