We are a family located in Quincy, IL. Our family consists of show dogs and frequently houses rescue Aussies that find their way to new homes through our doors. All aussies at Breakaway are members of the family.  They hold special places in our hearts as well as on our couches. At this time, we do ont have any bitches, so we do not breed. If you are interested in using any of our dogs as stud dogs, please contact us.  

Hi! My name is Morgan Higgins. I am 15 and am in the 9th grade at Quincy Notre Dame High School. I have been showing dogs since I was about 10 years old. I finished my own dog Ch. Acura’s Summer Storm CGC, and have continued to special him for fun. Dusty is also my Juniors dog. We make a great team!  I was 1st runner up for the Top Junior in Illinois Competition in 2003 and in 2004 and 2005 have been a finalist.  I won the Open Intermediate class at the 2005 USASA Nationals. I am currently in the Top 5 of Aussies and in the states of IL and MO. I love showing in Juniors, some kids don't like it but I think it's good because you get critiqued a lot and you can learn a lot of values. Showing dogs has changed my life drastically because it has given me confidence and has given me something to work for in life.
