Winter Series Race 1.
For the first race in the popular Winter Series weather conditions were ideal for running with very little wind and no rain to affect the runners on the 2.5 mile route around the Kitty Brewster Trading Estate. For the first race there was an excellent turn-out of just under 50 finishers and several Juniors were taking part. Running the race for the first time, 14 year old Stephanie was the first runner off and she was never passed and became the first winner of a coveted “Yellow T-shirt” in this series. Scott Jenkinson was the fastest boy, while Kirstie Johnson was the fastest girl.
Winter Series Race 2.
Despite having her handicap adjusted the race was won by 14 year old Stephanie Ramsay who had won the first race. Stephanie managed to run the race over a minute faster than the previous time to and passed the long time leader Jocelyn Smith in the last 600 metres. Scott and Kirstie again set the fastest times
Winter Series Race 3.
Once again there was a turn-out of over 40 runners taking part in the 2.5 mile handicap race around the Kitty Brewster Trading Estate. For the first time ever the first four runners were all from the Junior section who compete against the Seniors in the Winter Series, with Christopher Lillico winning from Stacey Robinson. Scott was again the fastest boy while 13 year old Stacey Robinson set the fastest time for the Ladies.
Winter Series race 4.
Again there were over 40 finishers and the winner was the youngest runner, James Young who passed Alan Kenny in the last 100 metres to gain a 'Yellow' T-shirt. Kirstie Johnson set the fastest time by a Lady, while Kalvin Hurst was the fastest Junior.
Winter Series Race 5.
The race was won by Verity Brady, who was the first runner off and showed everybdoy the way home. The next three positions were all Juniors, with Ellis scond, Adam Smith third and Chris Lillico fourth. Ellis was the fastest Junior while Stacey was the fastest girl.
Winter Series race 6
One week after droipping out of the race ill, Kalvin Hurst was the winner of the sixth race and set the fourth fastest time on the night. Stacey Robinson was again the fastest girl.
