Farringdon Cross Country

 

 Seventeen members of the Junior section ran in the heat at Farringdon, on a testing course.

Everybody ran well and Jacob Hall had an excellent run to win the Under 13 boys race

Junior Handicap 2009

Run over a distance of two miles, this years handicap race was run in damp conditions. One of the younger members Bethany was first off, then it was a steady stream until Kalvin was the last runner away.

 

Ben was the first runner back, with last years winner Daniel in second place and Jacob setting the fastest time in third. The fastest girl was Stacey.

Autumn Relays 2008

With the usual last minute drop outs and non-attendances, it meant that several teams had to be re-jigged just before the start

However we still had 12 full teams and three guest runners.

The winning team was Kastriot Kaca, Stephanie Ramsay and Jacob Hall, they led the whole way and were never in serious trouble.

The fastest boy was Craig Birch and the fastest girl was Kirstie Johnson

Farringdon Cross Country

Several Juniors competed at Farringdon in the first cross country of the season.

In the Under 11 boys, Jacob Hall had an excellent run to finish second in 4:07, well supported by James Young in 5th position in 4:33  and Harry Davey in 7th position with a time of 4:35

the other Juniors all ran the same distance and course as the seniors, which was 1.7 miles.

Matthew Jackson was the only Blyth runner in the Under 13 boys and had a creditable 10th place finish with a time of 11:30 for the 1.7 mile course.

Charlotte Ramsay was the solo Blyth girl in the Under 13 girls and once again she had a strong run to finish 11th with a time of 13:10.

In the Under 15 boys, Kalvin Hurst finished in 9th position with a time of 10:32, while Christopher Lillico finished  two places behind Kalvin with a time of 10:56

In the Under 15 girls, Kirstie Johnson finished 11th with a time of 12:41

Also finishing 11th, in the Under 17 Boys, John Lazzarri recorded a time of 10:42

Emma Freeman ran in the Under 17 girls and finished in 14th position with a time of 13:12

Harrier League 2007 - 2008

 

Several of the Juniors have been competing in the Harrier League with varying degrees of success.

At Farringdon, Kalvin Hurst marked his debut run for the Juniors with a winning performance in the Under 13 boys. Running from the slow pack, St. Wilfreds School pupil, Kalvin led over the 1.7 mile course and finished a comfortable winner by a margin of 12 seconds.

In the Under 13 boys, Ellis, Corey and Christopher have all progressed to the fast pack and will be joined by Kalvin.

In the Under 15 Boys, Scott has progressed to the fast pack.

For the Girls, Stacey is in the fast pack for the Under 13 Girls while Kirstie has progressed to the fast pack for the Under 15 girls. 

 

North of England Cross Country Championships

At the Northern XC Chamionships, held at Leeds on Sat. 26th Jan.there were good results fron the under 13 boys, with Ellis Hetherington finishing a good 27th, Chris Lillico in 73rd, Chris Robertson in 117th and M. Jackson 125th to finish 16th team.
The under 15 girls were one of only 2 north east teams to complete with Kirstie Johnson in 98th place, Loren Bain 174th, Steph Ramsay 183rd and Louise Mullen 184th.
Stacey Robinson was 60th in her race.
