TEAM BRATPACK RACING 2009

Bratpack started in 1998 when my kids their Cousins and the kids in the neighborhood starting riding there bikes at the local trails and then going to the race track (The Hill BMX in Elgin, Illinois) It was just a club for them then. I made them some t-shirts with their names and what bikes they rode, it was just something they could call themselves. We where going to the track just about every weekend, then one weekend when we went, there was a race going on my kids where so excited they were asking every question that came to mind about getting into racing. Then one weekend we went to the track, we met the Track Directors daughter Julie Nasko and she gave my kids a flier and thats when it all started in the summer of 2002. My oldest son Bradly signed up first then my other three sons soon followed, Bradly and Brandon turned Inter. in about a months time, Chucky and Cory also did good for there first year. Then we took the winter off while waiting anxiously for the season to start. We raced part of the 2003 season then my boys decided they want to stop racing. We started going to skate parks and street riding only, then In  the spring of 2005 my two younger sons asked why we dont race anymore, they said that they want to race again, so I signed them and myself up and we started going to the track to practice just about every weekend. My to oldest boys came to watch us race because they still did'nt feel like racing but they did bring their bike to practice after the races,  then they decided to try racing again. Their friends started coming to watch them race and soon they themselves started racing, we then picked up our first sponsor Jeff Provisor at Main Street Bicycles in Carpentersville, he ordered some jerseys for us and for once we looked like a real team, Then Porreca Freight sponsored us for the rest of the 2005 season. We finished 9th out of 12 teams which I dont think is to bad since we only raced two team sheets that year. 2006 we finished 2nd in team points out of 15 team. 2007 we placed 4th in team.

We are competitive but not to a crazy point because we just want to have fun which is what this sport is about. We love to race, go fast and jump but the most important thing is we like being a part of is
