  March 7, 2008 - General
Due to technical difficulties, the appearance of The Slants at ChibiCon has been canceled.  The ChibiCon Committee apologizes for this inconvenience.

  March 1, 2008 - General
Seito ChibiCon now welcomes attendants of all ages, not just those around high school age. The convention will retain its "PG-13 and below" rating. Also, pre-registration is now CLOSED. If you wish to attend Seito ChibiCon 08, badges will be sold at the door on March 22nd for $10.

GREAT meeting today! The next one will be on the 8th of March at Emi's house at 2 PM. If you were not present for the meeting, you will receive an email containing information on what was decided upon. Also, the following two meetings are mandatory if you haven't turned in all your dues.

  February 18, 2008 - General
The ChibiCon Committee is proud to announce the convention's very first guest: Portland, Oregon band The Slants! Check them out at theslants.com for more information or check their MySpace to sample their unique sound.

  February 9, 2008 - Staff
The next meeting will be the 1st of March at Emi's house at 2 PM.  All registration, t-shirt, artist registration, fundraised and donated money will be due, along with all forms.  If you missed today's meeting, contact Shizzy with your anime and activity selection as well as the number of people you have registered ASAP.  

  February 9, 2008 - Attendees
Pre-registration has been extended until the 1st of March, at an increased price of $8. After the 1st of March, registration will only be at-the-door for a cost of $10.  Pre-sale t-shirts may also be ordered until the 1st of March for an increased cost of $18. After the 1st of March, t-shirts will be sold in limited quantities at the convention for a cost of $20.

  January 31, 2008 - General
Letters of invitation and donation inquiry were sent out yesterday, January 30th. Several responses have been received, and I'm proud to announce that ChibiCon has received its very first donation from Dark Horse Manga. Many thanks both to Dark Horse and Tiffany Grant for passing our information along.

  January 19, 2008 - Attendees
Registration is now OPEN! Please see your school's representative for registration information. Pre-order badges are available for three weeks, at the low cost of $5. Pre-order t-shirts are $15. After three weeks, these costs increase dramatically, so register now!

  January 19, 2008 - Staff
The next in-person meeting is a big one, and will be held February 9th at Shizzy's house. All anime selections will be due; if you do not provide one, an anime will be selected for your time slot. All activities will be due; if you do not present one, you will lose your time slot. All forms will be due; if they are not turned in, they will be subject to a higher prices/late fees. All badge art entries are due; if they are late, that's just too bad. Voting will be done on which image to print on the badges. Basically, this is our finalizing meeting. If something isn't present, it's not going to happen.

The next in-person meeting will be on the 12th of January. If a representative does not attend, your school will be dropped from the schools involved roster. Forum banner designs will be due at this point. Due dates for the other art contests will be decided upon at the meeting.

WE'VE GOTTEN AN ADVISER!!! 
A very special thank you to Mr. Smare from Branham High School. For those of you who attended the first in-person meeting, he was the teacher who let us use his room. We're still trying to find a second adviser so that one teacher doesn't have to shoulder the entire convention, but as of right now, ChibiCon is an official "GO." 

  December 1st, 2007 - Staff
Shizzy attended the Fremont Holiday Anime Faire today. She passed out business cards (pictured below) to five dealers. They are each thanked for their time and consideration.

 

  November 26th, 2007 - Staff
There will be an online meeting for club presidents and representatives on Tuesday, November 27th at approximately 5 PM. The ChibiCon Meeting forum will be the location of this meeting. If you need the password for the board, please PM Shizzy or Emichan your name and position within your Anime Club.

  November 14th, 2007 - Staff
There will be a meeting for all schools helping out with ChibiCon on Saturday, November 24th, 2007. The time is not decided at present, but will be announced in an email. If we do not have your email yet, please send a quick note to chibi_con@hotmail.com as soon as possible.
