Bramble Bay Pony Club
Location
Bramble Bay Pony Club is set on 12.63 hectares (on the old scale-25 acres) of land on Telegraph Road at Bracken Ridge right next door to the Warra Animal Shelter, and currently has around 40 members with ages ranging from seven years with no upper limit. We are affiliated with Pony Club of Queensland. Our PIC number is QKBB1514.
The grounds are fully fenced and include a dressage arena, small cross country course, and exercise round yard, feed yards and clubhouse. Some agistment places are offered to club members.
About Us
While Bramble Bay Pony Club is proud to be considered a family type club (and there are currently a number of parent /children combinations who are riding members), we also welcome social members who wish to be part of our small community. Our sign on day is usually at end of January or beginning of February but interested people can apply for membership at any time of the year.
The Bramble Bay Pony Club Inc wants young and older people to be enthusiastic about horse riding. The club achieves this by offering learning activities about a variety of horsemanship disciplines. Certificates are provided to young members who demonstrate they have achieved levels of competence in horsemanship.
We have regular musters on the first and third Saturday’s of the month from February through to November each year. For anyone interested in learning more about our club, any of our members can be approached for information or direction to a committee member.
The club also holds open events for disciplines such as sporting gymkhanas, showjumping, and dressage. These events not only give members the social interaction with members of other clubs, but also contribute towards fundraising which helps with the maintenance of our equipment and grounds.
There are also a couple of days set aside each year for Members Only Points Days to cater for members who do not regularly compete at events run by other pony clubs.We are proud of the friendly family aspect at Bramble Bay Pony Club. Because we value our club and grounds, part of our membership criteria is that we expect members to attend working bees for such things as maintenance of equipment, keeping our grounds in good condition, and setting up equipment for events
