Brad Selock

Thank you for watching over us...

February 2008

DEAREST FRIENDS AND FAMILY,                                                                  We wanted to share with you the progress of Brad's treatment and to help prepare you for what lies ahead.  Brad has been diagnosed with an extremely rare stage 4 Cardiac AngioSarcoma Cancer. The doctors believe the cancer originated in the heart where a large tumor is currently occupying the right atrium as well as surrounding the exterior of the entire pericardium.  The cancer has metastasized to the lungs and formed a tumor on the base of his tailbone where he feels the most discomfort.  Brad was air ambulanced to MD Anderson Cancer clinic  in Houston, TX. on Feb. 13th.  He is currently undergoing chemotherapy every 21 days.  He got his first treatment on February 15th, which he tolerated well. There is no surgical options available to remove the tumors so the doctors continue with the chemotherapy hoping to slow down the growth of the tumors.  Feel assured that Brad is receiving the very best care available and his team of doctors are some of the best in the world.  They are working everyday to keep Brad comfortable and hope that treatments will be given as an out-patient basis real soon.

Brad's wife and children have relocated to an apartment in Houston and his parents and siblings spend as much time there as possible.

Thank you to all of the wonderful friends and family who have offered your help and prayers throughout this process.  Brad and the entire family are very grateful.  This being a very rare cancer means there is very limited resources to help with the compounding costs involved.  If you would like to offer help through donations, please send checks to: 8922 N. Farley Ave, KCMO 64157 in Brad's name where a family account has been set up to help with housing, food and medical expenses.

Please go to the guest book and share with Brad your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you sincerely, The Selock Family
