About This Page

These are random games I found while just randomly running around random places.  They seem interesting so I tried them out. Most I like, others are total vaporware titles.  While the last bunch are titles that are heavily underated.

Castlevania Judgement

A game so wrongfully rated.  Yet ironically this was nominated (not voted) for best Wii Fighting of 2008.  There aren't many fighting titles to begin with since its either Smash Bros Brawl or this when it comes down to it. A lot of people were dissapointed cause certain characters weren't added or character designs were questionable compared to the real thing.  If you pay attention to the storyline of this game alot of these characters came in before, long after, or during there storys in the actual Castlevania games took place which would explain why they look that way. I honestly wasn't going to pick this up until I researched what characters were in the game. Then I found out my favorite one Cornell the Werewolf was it so I picked it up.  Controls require a bit of work to get used and items are as cheap as any smash bros game when used "correctly"  Unless you're aiming for unlocking everything you won't play this game for long and probably go straight to online if anyone is there.  There's just the usual modes that you would find in any fighting game these days. Story mode, Arcade mode, Castle Mode (you travel in the Castle completing certain objectives and defeat the final boss Dracula.) Vs mode, Online mode, Gallery mode (to view all your unlockables). I found some characters to be unbalanced or just plain cheap when a certain move is used but overall its fair (at least its not Super Smash Bros. Brawl Final Smash cheap). I tried to go online but apparently everyone that was playing this game moved on or should I say back to Smash Bros which is sad.   I would get this game if your a fan of the Castlevania series otherwise, its passable and you'll probably get Super Smash Bros. Brawl if you don't already have it.

Guilty Gear 2: Overture

Another one of the only for fans games.  If you liked Guilty Gear and was actually paying attention to the storyline this is a continuation of it.  Sol is grown-up doing his own things. Ky is king of a country and became a man.  In this storyline all the gears are suddenly dissapearing which wouldn't be such a problem but its strange for such a thing to happen without any given reason.  So playing as Sol you aim to find out who or what is making all the gears dissapear.  Oh yeah and "That Man" finnally makes his appearance.   This isn't like the older GG games you've been playing. Its now a RTS (real-time strategy) game crossed with Dynasty Warriors combat.  In campaign mode you're mainly learning how the controls work.  Exibition mode and Online play are a whole another level.  If you don't watch it you'll be easily overwhelmed by the A.I. or anyone online who knows this game.  The voice work in both japanese and english are awesome as the voices fit every character.  The story is on point too.  I would get this game if you want to know what happened to our heroes of Guilty Gear or ready for something different.

Shining Tears

A worthwhile RPG with a hitting storyline.  Which is what A lot of games lack these days.  If you've been playing any of the Shining Series games then you know these are great in storyline.  Combat is something that of Gauntlet. Lots of enemies on screen at the same time trying to kill you which is why you have 2 characters that use attacks for crowd control.  I don't really have to say much for this game it did not get the credit it deserved and was easily overlooked due the release of Tales of Symphonia and many other RPGs.  I found it for 20 bucks and its worth an extra 15 bucks as there's a good amount of replay value left in it.  I did experience some lag time when I got late in the game which in the end caused me to die a few times but its nothing a good crowd controlling move can't fix very quickly and the game does well for having well over 60 enemies on screen at once.  Its a shame that it didn't sell very well in the states as the sequel to this game Shining Wind did not come which is alot better.  If you can rent it to see if you like it before you buy as alot of people don't like storylines.

MONSTER

Just found this one recently while researching MUGEN characters.  MONSTER is a Doujin fighting game so its pretty much japanese fighting game that relies on comboes.  Character design is interesting although a lot of ppl complain that this is for furry lovers (Whatever).  If you're into Melty Blood, Eternal Fighter Zero, and the like you'll like this one.  Its different.
