26th July. BWR "Burning Down the House" At Pontins Bingo Hall, Prestatyn Wales.
The event was put on for free to the Guests of the Holiday camp and wrestling fans from all over traveled to see the first ever BWR show which several WfWA Superstars appeared for only a £3
entry.
In a historic moment, the first ever BWR match, one half of the Easter Road Casuals, Lexo took on Chris 'Demon Seed' Jacobs. Aggression was at a premium in the early going as the two brawlers tore into each other. Jacobs quickly over powered the much smaller Scottish Football Holligan and started laying into Lexo in the corner, before pulling him out an hitting a Fisherman DDT for a cover of two. Lexo was unable to come back as Jacobs continued to pummel him a beautifully executed Axe Kick had Lexo reeling before a Back Breaker had him down for another count of two. Lexo got himself back into the match with a rake of the eyes and then several forearm smashes that seemed to have Jacobs reeling before the big man blcoked one and shot back, Lexo ducked in behind the telegraphed right and took Jacobs down with a Reverse DDT. Jacobs was then whipped against the turnbuckle where Lexo went to work with some rapid looking punches and stomps. Jacobs was Monkey Flipped across the ring before Lexo made a cover for a count of two. Jacobs then came back with several Martial Arts strikes with a Gator Roll Suplex earned him the win.

The second match of the night featured former WWA Tag Team Champion, J20 on his return to action following several broken ribs and a punctured lung. Despite ring rust in a sporting good natured match the Super Sleuth eventually pulled of the win over wily veteran 'Firework' Frank Harris, from the tag team Explode, after several minutes of clever grappling and counter wrestling. J20 scored a pinfall following an Exploder Suplex.
[James Double-Ohh, The Final Twist, 6:43]
The third match was by far the most competitive and brutal of the and even without Shaken Not Stirred the company appears to have a very strong tag division. The participants in this match were the other half of Explode, 'Rocket' Ron Biggs, New Samoan Kong and Lexo's partner Gibbsie. The action spilled all over the ring and arena. Kong and Biggs had Gibbsie reeling for much of the match, until Biggs went for roll up on the Samoan. Big mistake by the veteran as he was pummeled by Kong, who scored a two count following a Samoan Drop. The distraction allowed Gibbsie to clout both men with a Steel Chair as he re-emerged from the crowd. The Scot continued his assault with the chair nailing Kong across the back and bending the chair over the skull of Biggs. The referee called for
the bell. [No contest, 12:34]
In the main event, former WWA World Heavyweight Champion Red Dragon returned to action in his native country to a huge ovation. The Grand High Lizard took on Kong's brother Mafu in a match which seemed to have at least some history considering the two were both part of NGWA. Red Dragon looked to put Mafu away early knowing he could out pace the much bigger man. The Welshman showed little ring rust in the early going as he tore into his opponent. A Scissor Kick took Mafu down as he rose Red caught him with a boot to the gut and drilled Mafu with a Swinging DDT to earn a count of two.
A spring to the top rope and a Missile Drop kick sent Mafu back down hard and then a Springboard ASAI Moonsault resulted in another count of two for Red Dragon.A little agitated Red then laid in several mounted punches to tha face of Mafu, but the Samoan fought back and shot Red to the ropes, on the rebound Red was sent down with a huge clothesline as Mafu followed up with several stomps. Hauling Red back to his feet Mafu hit a big time Body Slam and then looked for a Springboard Legdrop only to find no one home. The former WWA World Heavyweight Champion again seemed to want to brawl with the Samoan and again threw the advantage away as he was overpowered.
Mafu shot Red to the ropes and sent him down with a Spear. Several headbutts from the Samoan later and he seemed on the verge of victory only for Red to get his foot the bottom rope befor ethe final and decisive third strike of palm on canvas by the referee. Mafu was shocked and a moment pause cost him dear as Red hit te ropes and came back with a Running Boot to the Face which earned him a count of three to a huge ovation that merely seemed to confuse rather than over joy the young man.
