WALTER BOOLE (1919 - 2002)
Walter (Wally) Boole was born on 6th February 1919 near Merrylands in New South Wales, Australia.
Walter Boole was the great nephew of George Boole the mathematician (1815-1864).
Walter was the only child of Arthur Boole (arrived Australia 1892 via New Zealand) and Muriel Janet Booth.
After his parents Arthur and Muriel Boole married, they moved from Mona Vale in 1919, and set up home at 10 Milner Road Villawood. (A then far western semi rural suburb of Sydney in 1919)
Walter attended ? public school followed by ? high school.

Leaving school in 1934 during the great depression, employment was hard to find.
Jobs were often short-lived with employers lacking funds to retain staff. Jobs did include
June 1935 - January 1936 - Shop Assistant at A. Thompson & Sons, Auburn NSW.
March - June 1938 - General Farm Hand at "Carinya" Quandialla NSW
April-December 1939 - Storeman & Packer at His Masters Voice, Homebush
1939 - Trained with the NSW Lancers military unit at Parramatta.
1940 -1945 WW2 service within Australia and South Pacific Island of Bouganville.
June 1949 - Admitted as Registered Nurse
Feb 1952 - Registered as Mental Nurse
late 1950's - retrained and employed as Health & Building Inspector
1978 - retired and took up his life-time interest of fishing full-time.

Walter passed died in June 2002, being cremated at Northern Suburbs crematorium. Walter is also remembered in the Army memorial wall at Rookwood Cemetery, Sydney, Australia
