Series of Unfortunate Events Movie

I've looked and looked and finally found when The Bad Begining (first book of The Series of Unfortunate Events), the movie is coming out!  The release date is scheduled to be December 17, 2004, and you can watch the trailer at:

http://www.unfortunateeventsmovie.com/enter.html

I've found a list of some of the actors starring in the film (please note that pictures of the actors are not necessarily of them at their current age or dressed as their character in Series of Unfortunate Events):

Liam Aiken as Klaus Born in New York City, Aiken was only six when he made his Broadway debut as Bobby Helmer in the 1996 revival of Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House. The following year he made his film debut as Parker Posey's son in the independent film Henry Fool. Aiken's other film credits include The Object of My Affection, with Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd, and Montana, which was unveiled at the 1998 Sundance Film Festival.

Emily Browning as Violet ~  16 year old Emily Jane Browning of Australia has been is a regular child star.  She has been in movies such as:

  • "After the Deluge" (2003) (mini) TV Series .... Maddy
  • Ned Kelly (2003) .... Grace Kelly

You can see a bit of her acting in the Ghost Ship trailer at:

Kara, and Shelby Hoffman as Sunny ~ These two girl twins from the soap General Hospital who are approaching two, will make their movie deabu in the Series of Unfortunate Events movies (look out Mary-Kate and Ashley)                                                                      Picture from actual movie

Timothy Spall as Mr. Poe ~ More popularly known as Peter Petegrew, this actor will (hopefully) clean up and be the "beloved" Mr. Poe. Timothy Spall's credits also include such films as the new "Nicholas Nickleby," plus "All or Nothing," "Vanilla Sky," "Rock Star," "Chicken Run," "Vatel," "Topsy Turvy," "Secrets & Lies," "Hamlet," "The Sheltering Sky," "White Hunter, Black Heart," "The Missionary" and "Quadrophenia."

-Jim Carrey as Count Olaf ~ Well, I don't really need to say anything about Jim Carrey, do I?

  • The Seventh Dwarf

While trying to find news on the fourth Artemis Fowl, I stumbled upon this little UK secret.  Eoin Colfer has written a small 60 page book called Artemis Fowl: The Seventh Dwarf.  From most things I've read, it isn't great, just a fun little story set in the time between Artemis Fowl and Artemis Fowl: The Artic Incident, so Artemis' father is still missing. Artemis is after a famous diamond and tries to steal it with the help of Mulch Diggums but Holly Short the fairy is once again desperate to foil his criminal plans.

You can check out this one buck Fowl book at:  http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0141318007/qid=1081526443/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_11_1/202-2495018-9128607

    Upcoming Tamora Pierce

After doing the Trickster's Choice review, I decided to see if I could findout when the sequel would supposedly come out.  Lately, it has been said that it has been changed from Trickster's Bet to Trickster's Queen and is supposed to come out September 28, 2004.
