June 2008
At the beginning of June we were lucky enough to head south to Melbourne for a short trip and to catch up with some friends on the way down. First stop was Kate and her sons of Zadahan Arabians near Sydney. I was especially excited to meet her young stallion Simeon Shamai as I am looking at him for a future breeding stallion for Angelica. He put on a wonderful display for us showing off his amazing movement and temperament. Her other stallion Zadahan Khalil has the most loving temperament I have ever seen. Her mare Pembac Arliah is gorgeous (those eyes!!) and I was ready to put her on the back of the truck and bring her home. Her filly by Shamai is very much her father's daughter and can't wait to see her in the show ring. Kate's other lovely mare Sweet Meadows Gaize is looking happily in foal, fingers crossed all goes well this time. Big Thank You to Kate for her warm hospitality and can't wait to catch up again soon.
Second stop was with Deb and her son Brady at El Ishmael Arabians in Lima East Victoria. Unfortunately Deb and Brady had only just moved house and the horses were yet to arrive but it was still great to catch up with them and talk horses. Look forward to my next visit when the 4 legged family will all be settled in. Thanks again Deb, we had a great time and the scenery is amazing.
Third and final stop was with Nikki, Dean and family of Roheryn Park Arabians at Riddells Creek Victoria. Roheryn Park is home to 3 stallions, Oakhill Arigo, Oakhill Diego and Cazna El Maklan. I was particularly excited about meeting Arigo as he came from Queensland and I remember seeing him in the showring years ago at both arabian shows and the local ag shows. It was great to see him looking happy and healthy in his retirement. Hope he around for many years to come yet. Diego is also a lovely boy and looked extremely happy about being surrounded by his girls. And what beautiful girls they are too. Was trying to work out how I could get a few of them in the boot of the car I had used to drive up there. Such lovely natures as well, all happy to lap up the attention. Cazna El Maklan also had the most amazing temperament as well as having the looks, they are a credit to you Nikki and Dean. Ethan even got to have a ride on their daughters pony club gelding which he was absolutely thrilled about. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and the chance to see your horses, was a great day.
April 2008
We ended up only serving 2 mares to Decimir, Marlo and Angelica and are happy to report both are in foal. Extremely happy to have Marlo in foal after her losing her precious Solly foal on her travel up to us.
Sad news also this month on the passing of Simeon Solomon of Slipstream Arabians. He was a wonderful stallion and I feel very honoured to have met this grand gentleman in person when we visited last year. My thoughts are with Ruth at this very sad time. We still have his frozen semen which will be used on a very special mare in the future. We also have Angelica to continue on his very special bloodlines as well so we are very lucky.
Also condolences go out to Carol and Brad Christensen of County Downs who lost their Baranski filly this month also. She had such a big future ahead of her.
February 2008
Well looks like we are nearly EI free in Queensland and can start getting back to normal. We were very lucky to stay free of it but will be nice to get out and about again to shows and open days again.
Please check out this website and the online show that has been organised. For a great cause also, so please support it if you can either by entering or maybe sponsorship.

Happy New Year everyone. Due to EI and not being able to move horses, will only breeding a few mares, all to our boy Electric Decimir. At this stage they will be Angelica, Marlo, Bon and Eclipse.
November 2007
Have added a few new photos of Speedy to the Foals 2007 page. He is growing nicely and is living up to his name.
So far we have been lucky and the horses haven't had EI but it is close so trying to be prepared.

August 2007
Well we have had some nice rain in the latter part of this month so things are greening up again.
Our only foal for the season has arrived. Born 29 August just after 6pm, a bay colt out of Eastern Park Jamala by our stallion Electric Decimir. All went well and Mum and bub are getting on fine.

July 2007
Went for a short trip to Melbourne and while down there visited Ruth and her horses at Slipstream Arabians. Solly is still looking fantastic and was happy to show off for us. He is a magnificient looking boy and I have everything crossed that the AI works with Marlo in Spring. I was also able to see Angelica's Mum Wicked Angel who Ruth also owns. She is a lovely mare with the same beautiful eyes and nature. Had a great day and look forward to another visit but maybe in summer when it is a bit warmer!! Thanks again to Ruth for her hospitality.
June 2007
Another beautiful mare will be gracing the paddocks of Bonnie Doon shortly. Her name is Desert Fox Angelica (Simeon Solomon/Desert Fox Wicked Angel) and she will hopefully arrive here in the next few weeks. Will add some photos and more info to the mares page after she arrives.
UPDATE: Angelica has arrived safe and sound. She is settling in well with the other girls. A big THANK YOU to Sally Genninges of Maximal Arabians for allowing us to buy this beautiful mare.
May 2007
Check out the sales page. Bonnie Doon Moon Magic (Elle) is available for purchase. She is being wasted in the paddock. She will make a great riding horse and then later on a wonderful broodmare. Unfortunately cannot be shown due to scar on front knee but she isn't lame on it at all. Also looking at gelding George and Lenny so if anyone is interested in these boys as geldings please don't hessitate to contact me.
Have had a few setbacks with Marlo and the AI so are going to leave her now until Spring. She is looking great though and seems to have settled in very well. She truly is a lovely mare to both look at and to do anything with.
Jamala is hugh already and she's not due until September!!!
Check out a couple of new websites on my links page. Mandian Park Arabians and Slipstream Arabians have great new websites that are worth a look at.
March 2007
A very exciting month with a visitor from Malaysia to view our lovely horses. Khairudin was here for 4 days and also visited Eskdale Arabians, Arabien Haus Stud, Nagali Stud and Mandian Park Arabians. He is hoping to export a colt/stallion in the near future and hopefully followed by others as his stud grows. An enjoyable time was had by all and look forward to future visits by Khairudin and other Arabian horse enthusiasts.
February 2007
Not a good month so far. Unfortunately Marlo lost her foal to Solomon about a month after arriving. We are now trying frozen semen so will see how that goes.
Also on the 22nd we lost our grand old mare Bremervale Electric Flame. She is missed very much and is buried in the foaling paddock to watch over future generations being born. She will never be replaced but at least we have her son who is producing lovely foals so her legacy continues.
January 2007
Well Happy New Year to all. Hope you all had a great Christmas. We have a new member arriving to the Bonnie Doon family shortly. Her name is Tallalee Marlena. She is a grey mare by Tarong Shahgar out of Peppersfield Tuema (Nile/Arabian Park Mustalina). She is in foal to Simeon Solomon for a September 2007 foal. Am very excited and must say a huge THANK YOU to Ruth Newman of Slipstream Arabians for allowing us to purchase this lovely mare.
UPDATE............
Marlo arrived yesterday (4th January) safe and sound. The video and pictures did not do her justice. She is settling in well and has already made friends with Flame. More details soon.
Also, in the December Issue of The Australian Arabian Horse News, Flame is one of the horses in the Special feature on mares with 12 or more live foals. It lists all her progeny and what they have achieved. She deserves a bit of recognition for all the hard work she has done over the years.
December 2006
Unfortunately the season didn't end very well here as Teneka gave birth to a still born colt on 2nd December. He was chestnut with a lovely head on him and huge!!! Even bigger that Eclipse's foal. Feel so sorry for her. Luckily she is fine physically considering the size of him and today (3rd) is grazing and coping well.
November 2006
Starglen Bonique foaled a bay colt on 21st November at 11.45pm. This is her first foal and she is acting like a pro. He is a lovely little boy and thrives on attention, whether it be horse or human. Very happy with him although was hoping for a filly. Maybe Teneka will break the filly drought.
October 2006
Well our first foal has arrived for the season. Eclipse had a chestnut colt on Sunday 15th October at 11am. Although I had been hoping for a black filly and am still very happy. He is a little stunner and is already keeping his Mum on her toes. Check out the foal page for photos.
Have 2 more foals due in late November so hoping all goes well there too.
September 2006
Jamala was served in September by Electric Decimir for a full brother or sister for George in 2007.
