The above commentary in Bombsite #2 mentions a meeting that the writers had with Slaughter+TD's and Fast Breeder at the Grapes pub. Bombsite did some of their best interviews in that place. Fast Breeder manager Alan Erasmus walks into the bar looking for Terry the guitarist. I remember the encounter very well, and later that night we had a beer with Alan at the club and spoke about the music scene in general.
Soon after this meeting, Alan Erasmus would turn Fast Breeder into the Durratti Column, and start a friendship and partnership with Tony Wilson. Tony Wilson, Alan Erasmus and Rob Gretton formed Factory Records as a collective enterprise. Then followed the opening of the Hacienda nightclub and the continuous search for talent. All the characters played a role in the movie 24 hour Party People, and are portrayed in the 2007 Joy Division movie "Control" . These businessmen were punks in suits, and would change the face and the direction of UK music for the better.

Liverpool, Mathew Street, the Grapes pub, the Cavern and Eric's have seen a tremendous musical history. There is a booth in The Grapes pub where the Beatles would sit and drink in the 60's, it still has the original fabric and wallpaper. Ten years after the Beatles, Wayne County, 999, Slaughter and the Dogs, Wylie, Holly Johnson and masses of others would pay homage to music in the same location. Like Bourbon St. is for Jazz, locals think that Mathew St, should be recognized as a spiritual location for British Rock, or it may be that a magnetic fault runs down the center of the street attracting musical talent.

Bombsite No4 is Martin's 2007 fanzine development project that began as he performed research for Mark's 50th birthday. Through the original Bombsite interviews, and Why Control adventures. Martin highlights stories and memories from the era with compelling commentary.
For 2008 completion, the overall project will also recreate Bombsite No1, No2 & No3 as a limited redesigned book set including photos, lyrics, and artwork with an aim to highlight the importance of experimental music and fashion through youth energy.
