EDUCATION, TRUTH, AND ACTION
Birth On Labor Day (BOLD) is a global movement to make maternity care mother-friendly by raising awareness of maternity care issues, raising money for organizations working to make maternity care mother friendly, and validating mothers' birth experiences in all communities world wide, through the use of the arts.
Every September BOLD women come together to promote Education, Truth, & Action toward mother-friendly maternity care. In 2006, BOLD’s first year, over 40 performances of Karen Brody’s critically acclaimed play, Birth, followed by crucial audience/panel talkbacks, were performed throughout the world over 4 days during the American Labor Day weekend.
But that's not all! BOLDREDTENT EVENTS are also held, giving local women a chance to tell their own birth stories in an intimate safe environment. SEE our BOLDREDTENT page for more information!
BEBOLD and join us this year!
