The Siren
To many, the siren is just a mystical creature. A maiden that sits upon the rocks, singing to lure sailors to their own painful ends, only to provide entertainment and nurishment to their heartless souls. To me, a siren is the very essence of music its self. Think about how its whole life depends upon its alluring, almost seductive voice. Without that voice, it would not stand out in the world of fantasy. Just another monster that tries to kill. Not only is a siren's appearence beautiful, but it's soul is as well. The siren is but what music stands for. To live and feed upon it, is quite beautiful in a metaphoric way of speaking. In choosing the song for this page I selected The Siren by Nightwish. I thought about what I would imagine the essence of music sounding like (it happened to match). This is the result.
