Okay, all of us have been on a job where we see something where all we can do is shake our head in disbelief. Below you will find some of those examples.
I found this lovely example of fine masonry on a recent inspection. The side of the chimney used to be up against the exterior wall of the dwelling.

I went to a house last week for a Residential Inspection. I found many problems that we can help them with, but the electrical hazards and violations were the worst that I've seen in 34 years in construction and inspections. With four kids in the house, I really came down on the homeowner. The worst part is, the homeowner is supposed to be an Electrician. - John Kirschenheiter Town of Brookhaven
