2008 Annual Municipality Report
Has your municipality filed yet?
Title 19NYCRR Part 1203, requires every
city, village, town, and county, charged with administration and
enforcement of the Uniform Code to annually submit a report of its
activities to the Secretary of State. The information provided on this
form is used to verify your municipality's compliance with the minimum
standards for administration and enforcement of the Uniform Code contained
in Part 1203. The information provided will also be used to develop
education, outreach and support programs for municipalities and Code
Enforcement Officials.
Last year less than 42% of the municipalities in Suffolk County, that were required to file a report, actually did so. Please check with yours to see if they have filed their 2008 report yet. If not, please stress the importance of filing.

Important info for licensed design professionals regarding CEUs
The agreement between the NYS Department of State and the NYS Department of Education has expired. As a result, courses offered by the NYS Department of State, NYSBOC, and NYSBOC Chapters will no longer be accepted for credit for licensed design professionals. NYSBOC has voted to work toward an agreement with the NYS Department of Education but, until that is approved no credit will be given to any non-certified code officials. Please be sure to check with the sponsor of ALL classes prior to taking them to avoid confusion.
DUES INCREASE FOR 2009
The annual dues that we pay to NYSBOC has increased $10 per member. We at the BOASC realize that with the current climate of the economy, every dollar counts. In order to offset the increase we must raise our dues as well. However, in the interest of helping our members, we are only increasing dues by $5 per member.
New annual dues is as follows: Certified Code Officials: $50 Associate Members: $70 You can now take courses on-line and receive credit hours to maintain your code official certification.
Please note that all email and address information of our members will not be shared with any 3rd party. For the privacy of our members, requests for our mailing list will be denied.
