January/February 2005
The Junior Advanced Troop began riding again right after the 1st of the year. We are excited about our team this year and hope to do well in all of our competitions and exhibitions.
Our first competition will be in Turlock, CA on May 14th at the California State Championships. We then have Reno in June and Burbank in July. We have been very busy with fundraisers trying to get a fast start on the money issue. We are doing well and have a number of activities lined up. We have candy sales, garage sales, scratchers, car washes and a number of “agility dog shows” lined up, as well as our weekly practices to become the greatest ever! So we are busy, busy, busy.
We would like to welcome all of our new members; Plt. Sgt. Brenda Stadelmann from troop I, Stb. Sgt. Elaine MacPherson from troop S, Corporal Marissa Cleek from troop A, Corporal Alexis Kiefer from troop D, and Corporal Kiara Roberts from troop S. We would also like to thank Captains, Michelle Peterson, Julie Sonntag, Erin Shelley and Jeremy Miller for helping Major Janet Johnstone and me this year.

November/December 2004
Hey, hey what do ya know? The JAT troop is starting up again! Tryouts are Saturdays, December 11th 7:00 a.m. at the Lake View Terrace Post or December 18th at 1:00 p.m. at the Agua Dulce Post. Our first official practice is Saturday Jan. 8th. Hopefully you all got a flyer and are trying out if you are eligible. Any officers who wish to assist this year should call Col. Radike before Dec. 18th. Also, our first fundraising is at a dog show on Dec. 4th and 5th, hope to see most of you there.
We hope to have a great team this year. We have a lot of seasoned riders and a bunch of knowledge going into the year. Our first competition is the state championship in Turlock on May 14th! Major Johnstone and myself are excited about 2005. If you have any questions please call either of us.
