January/February 2005

Hey guys what’s going on? The last month was quite rainy for a little while but things seem to be looking up, and the rainy season is moving on. Well I hope. There is not much new in troop we are trying to look our best and keep up the good work. Valentines Day is coming up and one of our members brought us some cookies to celebrate. Thanks TFC Kemper that was a nice and yummy gesture we all appreciated it. We also have a new addition to our troop, trooper Jessica Howarth and trooper Allison Quinonez they are doing great and we are glad to have them. Keep up the good work girls. After joining our troop Jessica recently had her birthday so we celebrated and had a little shin-dig after troop it was fun. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jessica, hope you had a great one. Well to wrap this up just wanted to say that I hope everyone is thinking about the show coming up there is a lot of good completion out there and we all need to come prepared.

Troop C Shadow of the Month: Troop C would like to congratulate a special member of our family. She has not been with the Troop for very long but in the short amount of time that she has been with us she has improved in all areas. All the horses that she is put on she can handle, from the not so good ones to the best. Every Tuesday night she comes prepared ready to ride with a great attitude. She involves everyone in Troop and makes sure no one gets left out. In years to come she will be a great member of our family, making Troop C proud that she is one of ours :). So... Troop C Shadow of the Month is Trooper Jessica Howard. Congratulations.

Troop C

Hello everyone how’s it going? I hope good. It has been quite a last few months for troop C. we have had a lot going on, in October we went to Magic Mountains’ fright fest with troop R which was a fun troop activity it was also one of our troopers birthday on Halloween. So happy birthday to trooper Megan Valles, also happy birthday to Capt. Marissa Herrera, Lt. Rebecca Sternadel, Sgt. Sarah Niller, and to Sgt. Shelby Pock. Lots of rain in the fall months especially October made it hard to practice for the post show but we seemed to manage. At the LVT Post show we won first place over all for equitation, drilling and inspection which Is a nice first for troop C, thanks to our great kids we couldn’t have done it without you, also to our first time driller 1st Sgt. Niller you did a great job. The week after the show we had game night, and no uniforms, of course, and a little party to celebrate, which was a nice break from all that drilling. It has been getting colder lately everyone is staying bundled up and keeping warm. Recently we rode in the Montrose Christmas parade which was a first experience for our troop as a whole. The parade turned out nice everyone had a good time!! I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and or Happy Holiday!! Coming up next is our Regimental show. It seems like it’s far away but before you know it, it will be here so everyone good luck. 
