January/February 2005
Troop G is working hard trying to play “catch –up” as we have ridden only twice since the Post Show in November. We have had rain, wind, holidays and more rain to content with. We are now getting on a regular schedule to practice to try and get ready for the Regimental show.
Troop G and all of Blue Shadows would like to thank Officer Renea Kerner for purchasing “Raymond”, known as Joe, and letting us use him for Troop G, JAT and all of Shadows. He is a GREAT horse and we all love him!
Finally, we would like to welcome quite a few new members to Troop G.
So WELCOME – Ivette Perez, Catherine Trevizo, Monsy Sanchez, Blaire Kemper and Kimberly Valero!!!

Where do I start? What a great job all of you did in the show. Do you know troop G placed 4th in the plan drill, only 5 points behind 3rd and tied for 2nd in inspection? WOW! You all pulled together and thank you to 1st Lts. Cook, Davis and Rosenburg! (Oops, congratulations to Captain Cook too!).
I would like to congratulate recent promotions, two weeks before the show to – Corporals Lupe Mata and Jamie Waldron and TFC’s Delmy Gonzalez and Jamilah Jabali. Special congratulations to Corporal Jamie Waldron who placed 4th in the Corporals equitation class. Way to go Jamie!!!
We are all so sorry Trooper Alyssa Ulrich broke her ankle a week before the show. We did not know it was broken and she rode the Monday before the show only wrapped in a bandage. Glad you could come to the show Alyssa!
I understand from Lt. Kerner (also officer Kerner of the Glendale P.D.) that we have lots of changes coming up for troop G. First, like new riders to take our troop up to 16 (or as many horses as we can use). Thanks for all the hard work Lt. Kerner!
Finally, everyone please have a very Merry Christmas and a great New Year!
