January/February 2005 Hey Blue Shadows! Well it is newsletter time again, which means that it is our turn to say hello to everyone! Troop A has been busy planning our very first ever Troop show, but don’t worry, just because it is the first, doesn’t mean it is the last! Our show is on a Tuesday, March 15th, 2005 and it starts promptly at 6:00pm. Everyone who can make it is invited! We have had a couple of birthdays in our troop, which is great, because birthdays are great of course, but also because we get to celebrate! Happiest Birthday to our very own Tpr. Lasater 1/27/04 is now a full-blooded teenager, so everyone beware! Also, 2nd Lt. Sage is now 18, and she is the perfect candidate for, just because you are an adult, does not mean you have to act like one! Just Kidding Sherise, you know we love ya! Another old timer is Stb. Sgt. Harris, who is now 15 years of age! Where oh where do the years go?! Troop A is looking forward to finally getting out there and riding now that all the rain is hopefully behind us! November/December 2004 Well the show has come and gone and we did an excellent job! It was a first show for Tpr. Harris, Tpr. Donny MacAdam, Tpr. Lizzy MacAdam, and Tpr. Puett! You did outstanding. Captain Sonntag gave the planned drill, which went smoothly, and we completed it just in the nick of time…5:30 and 22 milliseconds. Minimum is 5:30. Way to go guys. The impromptu was good as well, in fact we got 2nd in impromptu overall! Also congratulations to Tpr. Vanderzalm and TFC Hudson who placed in equitation! Let's not forget the very special surprise at the end of the show! Four promotions! Congratulations to 2nd Lt. Sage, 2nd Lt. Shelley, Plt. Sgt Sidell and Stb. Sgt. Harris! Promotions: Congratulations to everyone who has been promoted at the show! 2nd Lt. Sage and 2nd Lt Shelley, as well as Plt. Sgt. Sidell, and Stb. Sgt. Harris - also Cpl. Cleek gets to become first corp, which is something she really wants. Everyone was very deserving of their promotions and the whole thing came as a huge shock! Also, thank you to Captains Sonntag and Austin! They were nice enough to give each and every one of us our very own Blue Shadows T-Shirts at our Before The Show Party! We are all VERY surprised and excited! Well, I know I was! Thank you! Good Job everyone at the show! Especially Troop G looked awesome! See you guys next time around! Love, Troop A!!!
