Here, you'll find Izzy and Brandi -- sisters and double trouble of the truest kind.
They came to us this year, a few months after the family took a heart-breaking blow. That blow was losing Bianca, god rest her beautiful soul, to cancer we hadn't even known was there until the night she went to sleep and never woke up. Our house became something that was, in a way, avoided. With only Zues hogging the beds, it seemed empty. And that led my mom to ask me to start looking into breeds. But, since I have a love affair with Boxers, that was the only breed I came up with. I went to Zues and Bianca's breeder to see if she had a litter. As luck would have it, she had one on the ground and old enough to go in two weeks. We went to veiw the pups, and I fell in love with Brandi. She was everything I wanted. Or so I thought, until I started working there to pay for my future pup. She always hung back from her littermates, seemed submissive and scared. When time came to choose, I picked the reverse brindle girl that fell asleep in my lap - Izzy. Afterwords, I couldn't get my first meeting with Brandi out of my head and my mom commented how she would have loved to have her in our house. Long story short, Brandi came into our family as a sort of birthday present to my mom. So now here they live, chewing up kleenexes & shoes, annoying Zues, and making trouble.

Izzy . . .what a little monster. Mouthy, dominate, a trouble instigator, armed with a sweet face. She loves to bark, and most of all she loves to try and bark through an Air Squeaker clenched in her jaws (her favorite toys of all time). As a true Boxer, she's a people person. Loves them, loves them more when they give her food. So far she's been pretty accepting of training, with the exception of 'come'. She loves to cuddle (but not with me), loves under-wear, and loves to try to beat Zues down (much to my dismay). But she cannot stand the liquid form of snow, listening to my dad, or moths she cannot catch to eat. Izzy is such a little pixie-trickster down at heart, and she knows how to pour on the sweetness to melt your heart. Unfortunetly, it works. Unless she's trying to shove me out of my bed for the millionth time.

Our Brandi Wine knows she's cute, and she works it hard. You might expect a dog that feels no shame to be lurking under that, but it's really the opposite with Brandi. She's really sensitive to when you're angry and is actually apologetic when she's gotten into trouble. Which is frequently. This pup loves getting into stuff, and she's mastering the technique. Kleenexes, burnables, laundry, you name it. Nobody would expect her to be really shy around strangers, but she is. She takes to few people and avoides the ones she doesn't. (and the ones she does get multiple doggy kisses) The only dog I've ever known to do that - much less the only Boxer. If you say ride, she's the first one at the door, and if you say bath, she's the only one waiting by tub for you. This girl's bold, but smartly so. She'll wait for someone else to find out the reprecussions of an action before she does it. Unless it involves the vacuum. Then she barks her head off at it.
