Blue Music Production was started in 2007 by Kevin Boyd and Jack Sloan. While producing tracks on the side, Mr. Boyd thought it was a good idea to start a production company. He decided to call on longtime friend Jack Sloan to help him create this company. It was also a given that they bring their friend Blue into the company because of his knack for making beats. In 2008 Mr. Boyd met DJ ZetRoc and it was decided that he join Blue Music Production, he brings DJ knowledge and great piano skills to the company.
Together, they have already produced tracks for artists such as El Gato, C. Baker, Slim'm, Lil Rick, Lil Paris, B. Jizzle, D2thaLo, and Lil Smurf.
Blue Music Production really wants to be able to connect with other artists, producers, writers, and engineers to create a network that will be able to benefit everyone involved. The much anticipated mixtape, "The Bridge, Vol. I" was released in May 2008 featuring other artists such as Heavy Chill, Kaki Mac, and Dizzy D. This mixtape is still FREE, just click on the 'Mixtape' link above. Also in August 2008, K. Boyd released his third mixtape which featured tracks from Blue Music Production as well as mixing and mastering done by the company.
During 2009 many things have occurred that have made Blue Music Production more noticeable. "The Bridge, Vol. 2" was released in October featuring C. Bake, Lady Leshurr, Dizzy D, Husaine, One Hunid, B. Jizzle, K. Boyd, J. Ro, Ice Locc, Big Shane, Tripple Threat, Gameboy, Champ, Skewby, Lil Paris, Autopsy, Ice Locc, and El Gato. This mixtape is also still FREE, just click the 'Mixtape' link above. In November, K. Boyd released his fourth solo mixtape "Just Me" featuring multiple tracks by Blue Music Production as well as mixing and mastering done by the company. This mixtape is also available FREE by clicking the 'Mixtape' link above.
2010 will see even more projects from Blue Music Production. A joint mixtape between K. Boyd and Lil Paris from California will be released as well as other mixtapes.
