My Guinea Pigs

Here is a list of my past and present guinea pigs, in the order that i got them. Any pictures and information about my guinea pigs will all follow the order of the list below.

Timmy I

Timmy I was my first pet ever. At the time I was fanatical about guinea pigs because my best friend had them. I used to bring home books about guinea pigs from school, and constantly begged my parents to let me get one.

One day I walked outside and my dad started yelling at me to put this box on the lawn in the garage. I started sulking and went up to the box. I took one look inside and screamed. There was a guinea pig in there. Dad had bought one of the babies from my best friends newest litter. I was so happy. It was a little boy, and i named it Timmy because I loved my grandpop's little dog called Timmy.

Sadly Timmy I lasted only about a year. I have a feeling he might have been sick when we got him. He was always very quiet, but because it was my first guinea pig, i didn't know any better. During Timmy's last days we had to go visit my grandparents for the weekend. I didn't want to go, but my Oma and Opa said they would look after him. I kept ringing them while i was away, to see if Timmy was still alive. When we finally got back he was barely alive. He couldn't move. When i came over to the cage, lifted his head and crawled towards me chirping. A few minutes later, he died. It was like he was waiting for me to come back home for one last goodbye. It was so sweet and sad at the same time. I didn't sleep all that night so i watched movies. Now everytime i see the movies i watch that night, i think of him and feel a sadness come over. Timmy is really missed.

Timmy II

Timmy the second was very much similar in colour to Timmy the first, and i was missing my previous guinea pig so much i gave him the same name. Timmy II was 4 years old when he passed away.

Womby

After the death of my first two guinea pigs, i wanted to get another one. We went around to pet shops, but i could not find that special guinea pig. After what seemed like forever searching, we came across a pet shop that had just had a litter of guinea pigs. We wanted a female because my brother was also planning to get one, and we wanted them to be able to share the same cage. There were three babies in the litter. One black one with a tan stripe going right around its belly, one plain black/chocolate coloured one (Womby) and one black one with patches of tan all over it. At the time they were only 3 days old. They were so tiny. At first glance i liked the black one with patches of tan, but as i held them, i fell in love with Womby's personality. When i put her down into her cage, she would not go back in her cage. She just kept running back to me. The owners didn't know what sex they were yet, and they said to come back when they were three weeks old so that i could choose the one i wanted and pick it up in a few more weeks. As it happened, when we came back to choose, the mother had just died that morning, so the pet shop owners said we may as well take one now. It was so good. We checked the other two first to see if the were boys or girls. Both were boys. I was praying so hard that womby would be a girl, and she was! She was the perfect guinea pig.

This is Angel. I got her with her sister Dutchess who is my brother's guinea pig.

Angel is about 5 now. Sadly she has a massive tumour growing off her cheek, but it doesn't stop her from being her bossy self.

Midnight

This is midnight. He is the brother of Princess. I saw them both in the pet shop one day, and i could not choose between them, so i got them both. lol. Sad both Princess and Midnight have passed away. Princess died when she was 4 and midnight when he was 5.

He is a little curious in this photo, which was unusual for him. He was a very timid guinea pig. His sister princess was the exact opposite and loved attention.
