Blue Coyotes - biographies and news

Blue Coyotes are Gill Allcock  (guitar and vocals) Tony Ecclestone (bass and vocals) and Nicole Aldersen (acoustic guitar and vocals).

The band is regularly augmented by Chris Gerrish (Chameleon) on electric guitar and drummers Mick Bullard (Freeway Jam) or Belinda Webb (Chameleon). Belinda is also a drum teacher, so if you're interested in taking lessons in the Oxfordshire/Warwickshire area email her at belindawebb@hotmail.com

Gill is a well known solo performer and has appeared on albums by Maartin Allcock and Fairport Convention. She was a founder member of "Nice Girls Don't Explode" and formed the well-remembered children's theatre show "A Box of Secrets" with Nicole. In early 2006 Gill recorded a strictly limited edition charity CD in aid of St Katherine’s House Hospice, with Fairport’s Maartin Allcock and Chris Leslie. It's now sold out so don't ask!

Warwickshire based Nicole has been playing the guitar since she was seven. She began on a half size guitar that her parents got with Green Sheild Stamps (remember them?) She studied at the Royal School of Music and also plays clarinet and piano. She has taught clasical guitar for many years.

Tony took up bass in the 70s when he released the ultra rare single "Straightshooter". Sinking without a trace at the time it now commands extortionate prices on Ebay!. Hw played with funk band Zenith, powerpop combo "the Chocolate Assassins" and psychedelic trio "The Tangible Fruit Squad". As well as playing with Blue Coyotes he can be regularly seen with the Rogues and Chameleon

In December 2006 Blue Coyotes recorded their first album ,at Blue Moon Studios in Oxfordshire, with special guest fiddle maestro Tom Leary from Tanna and Feast of Fiddles. To buy a copy of the cd mailto:lliegeandlief@hotmail.com for details.
