So this is my second flower layout. It wasn't meant to be a series or collection but Jen suggested I name the layout after the flower so I followed the style of Hyacinth and came up with this. The layout uses pink and black, one of my favorite color combinations and one I haven't used in awhile. This one isn't as classy as Hyacinth but it's fun and definately the type of layout I would use for a personal site. The avatar on the right comes with the layout and I put it there mainly because I feel it helps break up the space. You need quite a bit of writing here though to fill it out. Hope you enjoy the layout!
There once was a beautiful woman who had a natural talent for writing and singing lovely songs. The people of the village loved her because of her grace and beauty, but this woman had a husband who was blind. No matter, this woman cared deeply for her husband and loved him. There were many of rich and powerful men in other village who wished to have her as theirs but the woman refused their proposal, for she was strong-minded and sincere.
One day, the rich lord of this village came riding on the back of his horse to inspect the people of his land. As he marched through the village, he saw the beautiful woman of the village and immediately fell in love with her. He proposed his love to her and asked her to come and live with him but again, she refused. No matter how many times he tried, she still refused his proposal. Finally, angered from her stubborness and her sincere, strong mind, the lord sent his minions and kidnapped her. The lord again tried everything to please her but she refused and kept her sincerity. Furious and angry, the lord finally executed her. The village people took pity of this and took her body and buried it next to the house of where she and her blind husband used to live.
Brokenhearted, the blind husband cried and mourned for the loss of his wife and never left her grave. Months later, a beautifully sweet flower grew and grew around the grave of his beloved wife and his house. This flower is called the Hibiscus (Rose of Sharon), meaning sincere heart.
I've had the splash for this layout sitting on my computer since last october but I couldn't make a good layout for it. The splash for this is located to the right although the real image is 426 by 262. This layout would be good for a small or medium site, particularly a blog or personal site I think. This layout works for any screen resolution 800 by 600 and higher. It was created in Photoshop CS 6.0. Anything in a p class=box tag will be put into a the block quote box like the story above. Leave the Credits intact, do not remove them or the watermark at the footer under any circumstances. Thanks!
