MY THOUGHTS

Serena Stalin has been searching for notorious serial killer Butch Harlow ever since she witnessed the murder of her best friend. When she finally tracks him down, she blackmails him into teaching her how to be a serial killer. He reluctantly agrees and thus the lessons begin.

While on this bloody killing spree, they fall in love with each other, but the love soon turns to hate in a very violent ending.

When I first heard about this film, I had my doubts. I wasn't too much into the indie scene at that time. I had never heard of anyone that was in the film, so I wasn't familiar with it. I happened to be browsing the net one day and came upon a site called movieflix.com, so I checked out what they had available to watch. It just so happens that BLOODLETTING was one listed on there, so I said what the hell and signed up on the site, so I can check it out. It was the best experience that I have ever had.

This is one of the smartest indie films I have ever seen. With great dialogue that will have you reeling with either laughter or disgust, you will be amazed at how it all works out in the end.

The performances by James L. Edwards and Ariauna Albright was great and they seem to have great chemistry together. You just want to feel something for these characters, even though they are completely evil. Some of the greatest dialogue comes between these two characters.

By now, everyone has heard about the baby scene and to be honest it was the reason that I almost gave up wanting to watch this film. It is all that you can imagine and once you see it, then you will know what I'm talking about. "I've never killed a baby" is one of the greatest lines in this film and had me laughing my ass off.

One of my most favorite scenes includes the great Sasha Graham, Scooter McCrae and Tina Krause. When they are all sitting around discussing death, Butch shows them what death really is. It was great and somehow I really didn't want to see them die. I really felt for these characters.

Matthew Jason Walsh has made such an impact on me because I have loved everything he has done and by far this is one of his greatest achievments yet. He directs, composes and writes. He has pretty much done it all and hasn't let me down yet. This guy has such a talent and he should do more films like this in the future. BLOODLETTING is one of the greatest indie films ever made.

What more can you ask for? It has a great script, the performances are awesome and it's an all around fun film to watch. BLOODLETTING is a hell of a ride from start to finish.

The Special Edition DVD will be released soon, so be sure to go out and pick it up.

MY RATING: 10/10
