My parents & me.
Thirtyfive years ago today, Bruce & I became one. It has been a wonderful 35 years & also I am now married for as long as I was single. That's right, I was 35, but he was every bit worth waiting for. Bruce lost his young wife & was left with a small son. I often teased that I married Bruce so I could be Brians mother. Our pastor at that time was Rev. Wayne Aman, pastoring at Kuna, but trying to start a work over near Arena Valley where Bruce was living. He & Bruce also worked together for the Dept. of Transportation. One day I asked Br. Aman, teasingly, why he wasn't helping me & he said, "I am". I was thrilled & eventually his help paid off. A church was started in Greenleaf, Bruce & I married & moved just a few houses down from the Amans. Oh the memories we have of times spent with these dear people. He has gone on to heaven and his wife, Virginia, now lives out by her daughter, Sue, in Murphy. We miss those days, but so glad for all the wonderful memories. Brian became my boy and I could not love him anymore had he been born to me. Brians maternal grandparents & uncle & his family took me on as family, too, & eventually when Karen was born she also became a grandchild to them. Of course, my parents & my brother & family very readily accepted Brian into our family. Bruce & I had a boy, Dale Edwin, who lived two hours & went back to heaven. After two more losses, we eventually became parents to a beautiful daughter, Karen Beth. Brian adored his new sister. Also along with Bruce I aquired some wonderful Germain inlaws. I am thanking God today for bringing Bruce & Brian into my life & then giving us our daughter, Karen. Happy Anniversary Bruce. You have been so wonderful to me all these years & I still do say I do to my wedding vows to thee.. I am looking toward many more years growing old with thee.
Happy Anniversary to us
Wednesday evening, Aug. 26, my little friend, Lisa, & her hubby Dennis, daughter Kyra, grandson Brandon, all brought the whole fixings for a cook out in our back yard. It was so yummy & we had the best time. Lisa used to stay with me when Bruce & her dad, Br. Aman, were working for the state and would stay out of town for the week. I was too chicken to stay alone, so this little girl came down to protect me. haha!! We have some fun memories of days spent with the Amans & it was so much fun to just sit, relax, and renew our friendship. Thanks, Lisa, & all of you Patricks for a lovely evening. It made having surgery worth while. Here is a picture or so of our evening spent together.
