Formed in early 1996 in the metal starved waste land known as North Cumbria in England. Blind Spite began gigging locally but endured many periods of inactivity through trying to keep a stable line-up. This was finally realised in Jan '97, when the line up of Max, Ian, Andy, Steve and Anthony began rehearsing and gigging for the first demo 'What is past is prologue' '97.  After the release of this the band gigged where ever offered until Andy (guitar) had to relocate leaving the band as a four piece, a situation that went on through to the recording of their second demo 'Grievolution' in 2000. They carried on as a four piece until late 2000 when they met guitarist Matthew Langley through some mutual friends,  after a few rehearsals Matthew joined the band permanently which completed the line-up for their third offering titled  'Sermon Of Despisal' June 2004. The songs on Sermon really began to define a style which was more towards the main of the bands influence rather than the individuals and has been described as technical, brutal, death metal. In the early part of 2005 and after a string of well received gigs around the UK  Max (vocals) decided to part company with the band after nine years. A while after this we thought of scouring the country and advertising for a new vocalist but before we did this we had one guy to try out in our home town,  a friend of the band called Lee Kelly who we had played alongside a few years earlier. After several months of rehearsing and a few gigs its wasn't quite working out so in the space of a year we are on to our third singer Paul Mcfarlane who has now learned most of the songs and we should be back in the studio early 2007.
