Having had this car for over 7 years now, we had to reshell it this year. It started life as a road going MG Maestro 2.0i EFi. We converted it to a T16 (nasp) race car about 6 years ago. We then put the T16 turbo engine into it, which we done in 13 hours - start to finnish. It's a good engine. We are currently rebuilding a T16 turbo engine on the bench to a high spec to place in the new shell. |

2.0 'O' series Turbo. After some extensive work and a complete rebuild with a T4 turbo the engine seen 231bhp with the standard internals on Dastek's rolling road (without NOS). We have since rebuilt the engine with lightened and balanced bottom end, major engine development is going into this car. We currently have another O series 8 valve engine on our bench we are working on to a high spec to replace this one, which we have bored to 2.1, with a T34 turbo for quicker spool up and Nitrous injection. Our aim is to achieve over 300BHP from this engine. |
