As the picture shows it is clear that "Pappy" lost a lot of weight and every rinkle of his face is the silent witness of his tormented life. In fact "Pappy" had been ill for quite some time when the series where beeing filmed.

The Generals daughter....

Denise DuBarry who joined the cast from episode 31 together with Jeb Adams (Lt. Jeb Pruitt) she played the part of General Moore's daughter Samantha "Sam" Greene Moore...the script suggested a love-story between "Pappy" and Sam but except for a single kiss when "Pappy" is ordered back to the States in episode 33. (The episode when a Japanese top-ace wrecks havok amongst American aces and Headquarters wants to prevent Boyington from beeing the next). Denise is nowadays the President of Xebec Productions, a wholy owned subsidiary of Thane International.
