A brief history of the Blackpool Residents Federation
After
several months of talks, a development day and a visit to
another Residents Federation, a group of people already involved
in Residents or Tenants groups throughout the town formed the Residents
Federation.
The Federation is open to private residents groups, housing association groups and council tenants groups alike.
Since
our first open meeting in January 2004, which was a great success we
acquired some funding from Muir Group Housing and the Community Chest.
This
has enabled us to offer free membership. So we wrote to bona fide and
properly constituted residents and tenants groups in the town inviting
them to apply for membership.
The Federation will combine to give a united voice for al its members
