If you like taking chances and wasting your time go buy pedigree babies ..If you are serious get proving racers ..Two strains of racing pigeons Good an Garbage

i`m a small loft but i already have few first prizes trophys on my table .I know what i`m talking about because whenever i could get them right they are up there first place not second ..Many people who try much harder in my club did not achieve first place . I do not buy a bird because a fancy pedigree ... look at record  if a bird scored once doesn`t mean much ,, Score twice is better ,, three times then it will be worth somethink ,,  Then it have to pass the eye test ,,Remembre that if you do not have  a leader (SUPER BIRD)you will never see first prize ,, You could spend lots money in medications,feed ,vitamins,, But you do not have the right birds ..

You need a good family.. End of season ..If you could pick one or three  good ones off your 50 birds young team my advice to you is that you do not have a good pigeons ... When you do  you will be having hard time picking any bird to cool ...

Another advice  is a good big pigeon better then a good small pigeon .CONSIDERING BOTH HAVE SAME FAST ORIENTATION.. (( my opinion)) 5 feet healthy  human runner  .. can not win with 6.1/2 FEET  healthy runner..One wing beat  from big pigeon equal two or three from small pigeon ... I been to few lofts and auctionts the birds with records are big ..the birds with fancy pedigrees are small   ..iF you look only at pedigrees you will be always a Flyer with fancy pedigree birds but no achievment...

A pedigree have to be accomplishment  of the birds and it is close family .. Families look alike in looks and performance ..

About trainning i  do about five tosses for old birds  ,,ten for young ..for second race two tosses //After that anythink more then once a week is not necessary
