The Adventure Begins.
We decided to convert the garage into a family room. We have to
do this because the kid's (as our grandchildren are known) have taken
over Arlene's room (known as the Purple room) into a defacto
playroom. The house originally had an atrtached one car garage,
the previous owners added on a two car garage and turned the first
garage into a storeroom ( read junk room). The room is about
22'x12' and we decided it would make a good family room. We
initially thought we would hire someone to do it, but, then realized it
would be cheaper and much more fun to do it ourselves.
This is how it looked before we started. As you can see it was
reverting to it's former incarnation as a "junk room". Incidently
the deer head was from Brooklyn were it was captured in an antique shop
on Flatbush Ave.
Well this seems like a good way to share the "adventure" with our
family and friends and I guess anyone else who wants to stop in.
