BANDIT BULLETIN

FEBUARY 2009

For those of you returning to class this year, welcome

back, and for thosse of you new to linedancing, we

welcome you to the challenge and hope you will enjoy

it as much as we do.

17th Australian Line Dance Championships,

Tamworth, NSW  -  January 2009

Another January in Tamworth, at the Country Music Festival,

starting on Saturday with Competitors Workshop, Sunday

saw the start of the competition, first with the Solo's.

Ranging from 12 & Under to 70 & Over for both Standard

Solo's and Freestyle Solo's.

BANDITS gained a total of 109 medals for the group, and

were 3rd in the medal tally. Not too bad, considering over

20 Line Dancing teams were entered.

We are very proud of Tegan, who gained a 2nd place in the

Advanced Choreography Competition with her version of

Turn Me Loose, which is a big hit.

At the end of the week, it was a sad time for all, when

farewells are made, hugs and kisses are given and future

dancing is planned between mates. Some head off on the

 Friday evening - while some stay on for the "Black &

White Ball" at the Tamworth Tennis Club. Saturday see

more competitors head off home - while again others stay.

Well, the pool party was on, when BANDITS and Allstars

got together for a chicken/salad pool party, what a great

 day, great inter-team bonding. Even I enjoyed being in

 the pool (after the initial shock of being PUSHED), and

getting sunburnt. Then of course the "Black & Silver Ball" at the

Tamworth Town Hall, then on Sunday, the rest of us

 finally head home.

 

BANDIT BLITZ 2009

For the last 2 years B.J. BANDITS have held our

own nation wide Linedancing Championships.

We have attracted the top competitors and most

experienced judges from all over Australia to become

one of the largest linedancing events in Australia.

BANDIT BLITZ will be held on the Long Weekend

in October 2009, 3rd, 4th & 5th October.

Bandits will be dancing, while Nathan Charlton

will be singing (Not at the same time)

Thursday 19th Feb - Seniors Week

April 3rd - Bandits have been asked to dance

atthe SkateBoard Competition in Junee

Also - the Commercial Hotel, Junee are planing
