Diana Dang's Darling Domain

Thousands of years ago where human has not yet advanced much in technology, life of course was different. But it was practically a whole new world than it is today for there lived creatures of all kind that you would only read about in fantasy novels. Dragons, faeries, and so much more roamed on and off in the human world called Earth of present day. Which was only simply known as "the Land" for most because they never knew how the world was a sphere.

Among the races, many wars had broken out upon each other because of their differences. Because of so, tension and fights continuously happened when a member from one race accidentally bump into one from another race. (For example: Angels and demons do not get along so well). It was only when things were getting chaotic that many have died including royalty. One day a representative from each race were sent a notice to meet at what is Asia now for a meeting. (Usually the kings and queens were the one that came).

From dragons to pixies, all attended and sat down to discuss about the situation. (This included a powerful human leader of the time). In conclusion they decided to make peace with each other and signed an enchanted contract that can not be broken, swearing upon the words that they would not have war against each other again. For those who are caught they’ve been fighting against each other would get a penalty sentence. Besides so, the contract stated that no races would be allowed to be together in a relationship. It may be that the races were still uneasy with each other and did not want their kind to entangled with others, even if they truly fell in love. For those who are caught, they would receive a severe punishment.

One peaceful day in ancient China of the time, a handsome young man with long black hair with a golden streak on his left and had expensive hair accessories within them. He wore an elaborate Korean robe made from the purest silk and was carrying a beautifully designed dragon fan. (He may have lived within the depth of the Chinese mountains and was a quarter Chinese himself, but doesn’t mean he could not wear something from another culture. During the time, magical beings could go any where they want and it did not limit them to their own clothes preference. But that is besides the point. Only to clear it up to those who are confused about the issue.)

His name was Heise and he was the Dragon King. Noble and wise, he was a composed person. He would never make decisions hastily for many things could happen at any time. A few of his kind did not like the fact he was not a pure Dragon. With a mix of human and demon blood within him, that was disapproved by many. But his full blooded Dragon father before him was loved among the dragons and was a powerful leader. So it was natural that his son was the heir of the throne. No one dare to anger Heise because with the demon blood running through his vein, it would provoke the sleeping tiger where he would kill everything in his path. This was another reason while some worried about him being a leader.

On the other side of the forest going towards Heise’s directin, was a Chinese faerie that still yet need to learn all of her complex spells by the name of Mei Ling. Now don’t think of small faeries you see in books for Mei Ling was exactly human size without the huge wings or else you would be thinking of pixies. There were plenty of magical creatures and they were tended to be confused with one another.  Her hair was a light blonde near white colour with pink streaks and it was done in one of the many Chinese hairdos. Wearing her own personalized outfit (I will not get into detail for I briefly drew it in her profile), she cheerfully floated forward only a few inches of the ground. Faeries should not be roaming upon Earth because it was a dangerous world after all. They are delicate creatures that love music and anything precious. Mei Ling did want to be stuck in her secure faerie realm and found it much more exciting on the outside.

Nonetheless, their paths met. Mei Ling immediately recognized Heise’s nobility and quickly bowed with respect. (No matter from what race one was from, it was only the right thing to show respect for one with noble blood). When she raised her head, her crystal blue eyes locked onto Heise’s icy pale blue ones. What was that warm feeling she just had? Even though they could not explain it, both felt something with their gaze deep into each other eyes.

It was soon enough that they started to get familiar with each other. It was obvious that the next they fell in love with each other. Forbidden it was but they could not help it. Their relationship was must be an absolute secret or there would be a disorder among the dragons and faeries. But the only other creature that knew about their secretive relationship was Heise’s right hand man/bodyguard and best friend, Zhong Zhi Shen. Trusting his secret completely in his friend, Heise knew that he would not tell a single soul. It was complicated to see each other considering that Heise was a king but they pulled it off. It wasn’t a surprise that they had sexual intercourse many times. Mei Ling had to get rid of her pregnancy the old fashion way by drinking a bottle of potion that aborted the child before it developed. Each time this happened, Mei Ling would burst into tears but she would do anything to protect her relationship with Heise.

It wasn’t long before one of the Dragon Council members got suspicious of Heise’s occasional absence. He sent one of the Dragon spies (the Dragon clan has a human form if you are wondering how something huge as a Dragon could not be spotted) to follow their king. When the spy caught sight of Heise with the faerie, he immediately reported back to the Dragon Council. The Dragon Council sent several dragons to retrieve them. A trial was set out to punish the two lovers.

Gender: Male
Race: Half Dragon, Quarter Human, Quarter Demon
Ethnicity: (For the quarter human side) Chinese
Age: Over 500 years old. Looks around 24.
Hair: Silky black and long, just above his ankles. If he leaves it down like that, then he would braid a strand (well, not exactly a strand, more like a small gathering of his hair) on his right. You know how girls do those small braids at the side? Yea like that except longer and bigger where it is noticeable. (Not too huge! I don't want it to take up most of his hair! D: ) Also that "strand" is streaked gold. Just one huge streak xD; (Even if he doesn't braid it, that streak is still there. Like a high light) Here is a couple of other styles he put it in: 1 and 2. He also can tie his hair up completely (leaving the bangs of course ^^). Or have a loose braid. When he is angered, it turns silver white like the last example. (Oh, feel free to come up with your own style! ^-^ Royalty after all have very beautiful and different designs every day. )
Eyes: His eyes are icy blue if he's in his normal state. And when he's angered, it is blood red with a hint of yellow.
Height: 5 feet 9 inches
Extra Things about Appearance:  He has two insignia. Now please read this carefully. When he is with Mei Ling, there's no insignia because he's feeling "in love" or when he wasted all his power while fighting. During the morning, a sun-diamond like insignia appears on his forehead. But once the sun sets, it disappears and a insignia of a dragon appears on his left cheek.
Some might think he has a dragon form but no he does not. Only pure blooded Dragons have a dragon form. He looks like human (duh, quarter human) and only change form when someone hits a nerve. When he is angered, he will have fangs (not huge ones), his nails will become long sharp, and his ears will be pointed like a demon. (He is quarter demon after all ^^; ). Except this state does not last very long because he is quarter demon.
Occupation: The Dragon King.
Personality: Heise is generally a calm person of nobility. He loves Mei Ling deeply and would protect her with all his heart. But since he has demon blood mixing with dragon blood, it gets real nasty when he is angered. If he's in a room he would tear it up and if people are in there, he would likely kill you. And during that time where he is out of control and Mei Ling was there, he would also becomes obsessive. Not normal obsessive, insane obsessive.
Clothing: He wears a Korean robe (He prefers them over the Chinese one. After all, if you have the power to fly anywhere, you can get access to all kinds of things). It is pure white and silver, which represents his nobility. (Come up with your own amazing designs on the hanfu if you want! ^0^ ) Oh and since his feet are pretty much covered, he wear those traditional sandals with white cotton/wool (what's the difference? >> ) socks.
Powers: Heise does not need the use weapons because he is the Dragon King. Therefore he has extraordinary powers. He can call up any dragon to fight for him. He has the power of Water, (Example: Can cause a tsunami) Fire, (Example: Can cause volcano to erupt) and Air (Example: Can create tornadoes). Even though his powers may seem so great, his power does not equal to a pure blooded Dragon King. He has to stop and regain his energy which is time consuming after releasing a large amount of power.
Others: He would always carry around his fan. It would have an elaborate design of a dragon. He also has a golden ring on his middle finger on his left hand. Not rusty like that, it's polished and made out of gold.
