A Doula provides support for a woman and her family throughout late pregnancy, birth and early parenting. Offering birth preperation sessions, labour and birth support (emotional and physical comfort measures), postnatal visits and much more. Doulas are trained, experienced mothers who can empower women through information, support physically and emotionally and ease the transition into new-parenthood. Every woman can benefit from good support at this special but challenging time and South Wales Birth Support hopes to provide Doula care for every woman in South Wales.
South Wales Birth Support has experience with hospital birth, emergancy situations, homebirths, waterbirths, birth centres and even a home water birth after caesarean. We have equipment to hire along with a Doula and can provide you with the research based information you need to make the right birth choices for you and your family.
