1. A website is like a house. It needs to be well designed, ie: it is neatly constructed with a logical layout. The easy it is too find information, the more chance people will read it.
2. Each page is like a room, and it must be painted appealing colors that match. If your front door (the homepage) is unpleasant, people will leave to the search engine and find another site.
3. However, it is also needs to be well decorated, so don’t clutter pages with unnecessary furniture such as distracting Java and Flash gimmicks, just as you would not put furniture in ever gap in a room. Keep the furniture simple, but smart, and in small quantity. Go minimalist – it’s in fashion!
