First, a little background on what this site contains and who its for. This site basically contains a collection of free french lessons, based on notes taken in my Level 2 French classes at university. These lectures can be used as an aid to classroom study, or as a self-study course, especially when used with the books used in that level. In addition to the french lessons, I have exercises to practise on, both in the lecture pages and grouped separately, some French reading material, and links to other interesting French sites.

How is this site different?

This site is different from other online French lessons in that it is divided by levels and lectures instead of subject, so a specific topic could be introduced in an earlier lecture and further explained in a later one. Detailed info is given on the lectures pages.

The Lessons

There are a total of 20 lectures. In these lectures, you will build on your basic knowledge of French. These lessons will build on existing grammar ability, improve communication skills, and help you use and understand more complicated language structure. Exercises are grouped on a separate page. If you are a complete stranger to French, I would advise you to go through the beginner language course first at  http://www.freewebs.com/n1notes.

Cat Tip of the Week

Since I am a cat lover, I could not resist sharing my vast knowledge of cat nature with you all. :P
So the Cat Tip of the Week is: If you want your cat to answer when he is called, keep his name short and sweet - cats like names with few syllables.
